Most people wish to choose decent and relaxing jobs, so that’s why being a cleaner is often rejected and despised. However, I’d like to show my respect to the cleaners for making the environment so clean and so beautiful.
I still well remember a day of a strong typhoon and a driving rain. Everyone stayed at home, even when there was something urgent to do. With too much garbage to get rid of, mom asked me to take out the trash.
As I had expected, not a soul could I see in the street. But suddenly around the corner, I saw a woman wearing a thick raincoat and long boots. She was braving the pouring rain next to a trash bin. Feeling surprised, I went up and asked, “Don’t you need to rest in such weather?” She replied with a smile, “Everyone can rest, but not the cleaners. If we take a break who will keep the streets clean of fallen leaves and trees?”
Hearing this, I fell into deep thought. Without the cleaners, the trash would pile up, the stench would cover and control the world and diseases would spread like crazy. I have come to a conclusion: the famous people are outstanding, but we can’t ignore such common people as cleaners also make great contributions to our country.
