I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.
We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
I want the future to be better than the past. I don’t want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the remainder of our lives.
The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, if we only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.
1984 was an honest mirror, which helped us to get into those Khalifas’ hearts. I don’t want to draw your attention to a wrong area which misleads you and you will simply regard all the governors and the top administrators as living Khalifas. All of us can be the bloody and cruel lords without the efficient national legal security system, balance and control, frightening punishment and equal things.
I remind me a famous Japanese anime called Evangelion, which told us an ambitious plan, which considered turning the human beings into the original states of live. However, what the director of the anime tried to discuss about was the higher and higher barriers among us. As the walls among us go higher and thicker, some of us will suffer from intolerable indifference, harmful prejudice and extreme isolation.
They can push a sufferer down the cliff of hopelessness effortlessly. When the combination of such bad feelings reach its peak, no one can get to know what will happen ahead of time. When the sufferer starts to hold the power, maybe everything will end up in ruins.
Jane Eyre
I think Jane Eyre possesses a kind heart, an indomitable spirit, a sharp wit and a great courage. She loves Mr. Rochester even more after he loses his hand and sight in a fire. And more importantly, she never gives up her own independence or follows others blindly. Instead, Jane Eyre chooses to hold fast to her own beliefs and standards.
At first, Jane met her best friend, Helen, in Lowwood School. Though she was a close friend, Jane still could not agree with her totally about life and people. As Jane grew up, she decided to leave the school and worked as a family teacher, regardless of others’ opinions.
After knowing the secret that the insane woman was Mr. Rochester’s wife, Jane Eyre was not willing to lose her dignity or abandon her own desire. And she left resolutely and silently. Thanks to her brave and independent choices, Jane Eyre has definitely become one of the greatest women in my heart.
