I enjoy joining speech competition and I take part in the 21st Speech Competition every year. I always work hard and try my best to prepare for it. The topic of the competition this year is “No pains, no gains”. I never think about this idea before, however, I still think about it and finish the speech alone in October. I talked about Su Qin, who was a diplomat during the Warring States Period. I also talked about Jack Ma's successful story, who is Alibaba Group's CEO. After that, my English teacher Austin Hu and my sister helped me about the details of the first draft. 
        Then, I try to remember the speech, however, I found it was quite easy to do it, because it was all about my own ideas and I was familiar with the content and structures. 
        Before the competition, Austin Hu invited me and other participants in my class to make the speech in front of the whole class. At the very beginning, I was quite nervous, however, after practicing over and over again, I became confident. And my dear classmates also gave me good advice about my pronunciation, intonation, facial expression, body language and so on. My English teacher also taught me many tips and gave me suggestions again and again. I could feel that I was making progress day by day. 
        I really hoped that I can get the promotion for the provincial competition because I always get the first prize in Ningbo but never attend the provincial one. I wanted to move forward and challenge myself. I knew that I have to work harder, because “no pains, no gains”. 
        The 21st Century Speech Contest began in December. I was so nervous that I kept reading the speech while I was waiting in the preparation room. 
        Finally, I won the first prize in Ningbo. Even though, I didn't get the chance to enter the provincial competition, but I understand the true meaning of “No pains, no gains.” I will try my best next time! I hope your dream will also come true!

        我每年參加演講比賽，盡力做好準(zhǔn)備。今年的比賽主題是“不勞而獲”。比賽開(kāi)始前，胡老師讓我在全班同學(xué)面前做演講。一開(kāi)始我很緊張，但一次又一次的練習(xí)后，我變得自信了。我的同學(xué)也對(duì)我的發(fā)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)、面部表情、肢體語(yǔ)言等提出了很好的建議。我的英語(yǔ)老師也教了我很多竅門。我真的希望我能獲得省比賽的資格，因?yàn)槲以趯幉偸谦@得一等獎(jiǎng)，卻從來(lái)沒(méi)有參加過(guò)省比賽。我想繼續(xù)前進(jìn)，挑戰(zhàn)自己。我知道我必須更努力地學(xué)習(xí)，因?yàn)椤安粍趧t無(wú)獲”。最后，我在寧波獲得了一等獎(jiǎng)，盡管我沒(méi)有機(jī)會(huì)參加省比賽，但我明白了“不勞而獲”的真正含義，下次我會(huì)盡力而為！希望你的夢(mèng)想也能成真！
