There are many different styles of our classic culture, like Tang poems, Song lyrics, Yuan dramas and Ming novels. I love and adore Song’s lyrics, especially those written by Su Shi.

Su Shi suffered so many setbacks in his political career, but he never gave up his dream of helping the people, his ambition of living in harmony with the universe and his passion to love and be loved.

Actually he was a great poet, a fabulous painter, a master calligrapher and a kind official all in one. His writings are as romantic as Li Bai’s, but enjoy more flavor that appeals to me most.

Here comes one of his most famous lyrics: People have joys and sorrows, as the moon has rain or shine, wax or wane. This has been going on since the beginning of time. It has brought out the truth about the dilemma of life for everyone.

Not only do I appreciate his essays, but also I am spellbound by his character, or rather, his optimism whatever he faced, wherever he was exiled. Nobody can win my respect more than Su Shi.

在唐詩(shī)、宋詞、元?jiǎng)『兔鞔≌f(shuō)中，我最喜歡宋詞，特別是蘇軾所寫(xiě)的詞。蘇軾在他的政治生涯中遭受許多挫折，但他從未放棄過(guò)去幫助民眾的夢(mèng)想。他是一位偉大的詩(shī)人、一位神話般的畫(huà)家、一位書(shū)法家，也是一位善良的官員。他的作品與李白一樣浪漫，但卻有更多吸引我的地方。這是他最著名的詞之一：人有悲歡離合，月有陰晴圓缺，此事古難全。他為每個(gè)人帶來(lái)了如何面對(duì)生活困境的真相。我尊敬蘇軾，我不僅僅欣賞他的文章，我也被他樂(lè)觀性格所吸引。
